  1. Welcome to Boudreau’s World!

    June 7, 2012 by jon

My name is Jon and I do almost all my shopping on the internet. I am a bit of a nut when it comes to discount shopping and couponing. I just love the idea of getting the best price possible on a product I’m buying. It’s become a bit of an obsession of mine.

So what is this site about? Online shopping, of course! Since I spend so much time hunting down great bargains on the Web, I figured why not create a blog talking about how to get some great savings online? Now, the holiday season is when I really ramp things up, so be sure to visit often right around the end of November. I will probably be posting tons of deals I find around that time.

I think I save hundreds of dollars each year using my bargain hunting methods. So I invite you to come along for the ride and let’s save some money together.

  2. The beauty of using free trial software

    March 7, 2012 by jon

adobe software downloadI don’t understand why people go out and purchase software right off the bat when they can easily get a free trial online for up to 30 days or more. Take Adobe, for example. Buying a program like Photoshop or Illustrator will set you back by several hundred dollars. Now, I understand that some people, such as professional designers, need the programs and will simply purchase them as soon as the new versions are released. But for the rest of us, who might be on the fence about whether or not to buy the program, a free trial seems to be the smart way to go.

So where can you go to obtain free trials for such programs. The answer is deceptively simple – Just search for them on Google! While you won’t find free trial downloads for every single program out there, for many of the major programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop, they are readily available from multiple sources.

One thing you need to be aware of is that the downloads are usually gigantic. I would therefore suggest starting the download as you are leaving the office, or, if you work from home, right before you go to bed. That way, the file will be ready for installation the following morning, presuming that nothing went awry.

So what are you waiting for? Free trial software costs you nothing and it’s a terrific way to help you decide whether or not a certain program is worth shelling out your hard earned bucks for.

  3. Getting deals at Dell is easy with Dell Coupons

    June 7, 2013 by jon

Great deals on dell laptops and desktopsDell remains quite popular, not just for home use but for businesses. I have found their computers to be superior to what other manufacturers put out, and the great thing is that they are quite competitively priced. Although you can find some Dells sold at stores, your best bet is still to place your orders online. This gives you the ability to customize your order to your liking, and it allows you to get better prices.

How can you get a better deal online? Quite simply, by using Dell Coupons. You can find quite a few of them online for various computers or laptops currently being sold. The best place to get these coupon codes for dell is to go to a coupon site such as retailmenot or chainstorecoupons. Once there, you can go through the list of coupons and find one that works for you.

Now, since there are quite a few dell coupons (see the current list of coupons here) out there, I suggest working backwards. Instead of finding a computer you like first, then hunting for a coupon which you may or may not be able to find, look through the coupon list first. Find a deal you like, then go to the Dell site and make tweaks to the specs of the computer you chose so that you ultimately get the computer you want.

  4. Adding flair to your parties by using personal invitations

    June 17, 2013 by jon

An Invitation from Overnight PrintsWe all like to throw parties every now and then. Some are formal and require invitations, while others may be more spur of the moment.

For the nicer parties that you actually plan out, I like to add a touch of class to the entire event by sending out personalized, unique invitations. The way I do this is by designing them with online templates from sites like Overnight Prints. Then, you can order to have them professionally printed and mailed.

This beats almost every type of card all the time. The only downside is that invitations prepared in this way are time-consuming and more costly. One way to bring down the cost is by using Overnight prints coupons which you can find online from a variety of coupon sites such as Pro Printing Coupons.

Even if you use online coupons, printing, as you may well know, is a rather large expense. Therefore, I only have these professional cards made for special events like anniversaries or really special parties celebrating an important event. You can’t be doing this sort of thing willy-nilly all the time if you don’t want to go broke. That said, when you do it, it will make a nice impression.
